Thank you for your interest in the Resource Based Cooperative for a transitional community. We are currently in the formation process of the cooperative. We currently have well over the minimum of the 5 people it takes to start a cooperative, however, at the current moment we still need to finish the articles of incorporation, bylaws, and trust fund documents.
Please visit the Resource Based Cooperative Wiki to help contribute to and complete these documents. Once these are complete and agreed to upon consensus, we will incorporate and start a web-based cooperative, at first, with the intention of selling self-sustainable products to raise money for a trust fund to start a community. It is also possible that we may work out a way to provide those who are interested in contributing to the web-based cooperative with an income. Recommendations and suggestions on how to set up this type of web based company structure are welcome.
Eventually, we also aim to develop and manufacture open-source products, in order to help promote the cause of a resource based economy and provide money for it’s members who have prior financial obligations, or would still like to earn money in the transitional period at the same time. The main goal is to start a transitional, resource based community where work is optional, but those who do need money due to prior financial obligations, have a means to make an income while living in a transitional community at the same time.
